User Submitted Blokus Classic Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-06-05 Great game for the whole family The first time I played Blokus I was at a pot-luck gathering at Church. This game has very simple rules and only takes a minute to learn how to play. I had so much fun playing this game that I knew I had to get one for my family. I now play with my three kids (ages 6 and 5 - twins) regularly and we all love it. Date: 2008-05-27 Wow this is a great game I have a 9 year old and a 6 year old and they both love to play this game. It teaches strategy and requires the players to think about what their next move is at each stage of the game. Some games when it isn't the players turn can't hold the kids attention because they role a dice and go a few places or pull a card and do what it says. This game requires the player to always pay attention and think about their next move. We have had so much fun we bought it for 2 other kids and they both love it as well. Date: 2008-05-27 A New Favorite Is Born I had viewed this game on Amazon, and found it intriguing. With a birthday soon I asked for this. Today, I got it, played it, and its one that will be coming out, many times. The simplistic rules, very sturdy board, and vibrant colors are all well liked, and welcomed. For an individual with multiple medical problems, greatly effecting my mobility makes it hard to find things I can do. The pieces are of good size, and fit fairly easily on the board. This is a big plus, many games with a playing table you have to click it into place, not here! Instructions are colored, and easy to understand text. They show the correct, and non correct ways to place your bricks. The insert, and back of the box has this information. The one fault, if visually impaired, someone with better sight will need to read the rules, and how to play! Date: 2008-05-24 Family Fun for All Ages My family loves this game! We have played it many times with our children and with other adults. It is very easy to learn. My 8 year old son does well, and my 6 year old daughter does fairly well with it (although I think she places pieces randomly instead of planning her strategy). Even with different skill levels you can have a lot of fun. I like the fact that Blokus is entertaining while being educational and exercising your mind in a creative way. Date: 2008-05-13 this game is a Must Have!! This game is so much fun! It only takes a minute to learn, yet every game is different. It quickly became a favorite for many I know where we each own this game and various versions. Blokus is easy enough for a 5 year old and challenging enough for adult gameplay.
