My 15 month old wonders around without feeling in a cage and I can go in and play with him too. I gave it a 4 star because the sounds in the panel are a bit loud and there is not on/off botton for them. Consider getting two sets, it gives you a lot of space and is cheaper than buying the extensions separately. Date: 2007-10-04 Love it - such a life saver We actually have two of these with extenders. I have two toddlers and a large Rottie. It helps me from worrying about my big goofy dog stepping on one of the girls by accident and gives the girls lots of space to play. I also use part of one of the playzone to block the girls from the edges of our bird cages- since toddler are not known for caution around edges it helps protect them from falling and hitting the edge of the bird cages. Both girls love to play telephone with the phone! Date: 2007-08-24 Wonderful!! We purchased this for our (now) 14 month old daughter. It's been a lifesaver! She finally has her own little place in our decidedly un-babyproof apartment. It goes together (and breaks down) so easily and she will play all by herself in here for hours. I'm finally getting housework done! My only complaint is that the musical wall doesn't have an off button. This would be useful, especially since I keep it in the box when we're not using it and the music goes off whenever I nudge the box. Kind of irritating, but a minor problem. Otherwise - we're more than happy with this toy and will probably by extensions or another set all together when baby #2 comes along. A side note - in addition to the Playzone, we purchased some of those connecting plastic/foam-ish mats (they come in a set of 4 big squares) to put underneath. The playzone fits great on a 2x3 set of connected mats and keeps baby from playing on icky carpet. Date: 2007-08-23 Hidden secret! I cannot live without this playzone. We got it when my daughter was 7 months old. It provides a fun and safe environment for her to play. Now she is two, we keep the door open, she goes in there to play and gets out whenever she likes. If I need to step out of the room for a minute, I lock the door. since it's such a friendly space for her, she will not try to climb out or scream. Now, I wonder how many owners of this playzone discover this - the hidden song. There are 7 keys which play 7 different music. Well well, there is the 8th song, we found it out by accident - you need to push 3 keys at the same time twice to activate that. Should I reveal the hidden secret? Anyway, great gear! Date: 2007-08-10 Great -when the playpen is outgrown I bought the playzone and one extension kit for my almost 1 year old grandson who came for an extended visit. My house is under remodeling so not a safe place for a 1 year old to roam. I will buy a second extension to make it bigger but he liked it and his 3 year old sister could climb in and play with him. I would not use it on a long term basis if you have a climber or for just a babysitter but it allowed me to put him down for short periods of playtime by himself or with his sister and not have to worry about them. It is very portable and durable so would be a great asset on picnics or short times outstide too.
