Realistic, contains foods not generally found in make believe foods. Really perfect size for little hands. Date: 2007-01-11 labels that are familiar This play food set has cans and boxes with labels that are real brands that your child could be familiar with. The boxes are a pretty heavy cardboard, pretty durable unless you have a child that likes to chew cardboard. Luckily my son does not, but his little friend does, so I put clear tape around all the labels on the cans to keep them a little more secure. The food is great, although some of the sizes just don't match up (orange the same size as a head of lettuce). I would recomend this set to others. Date: 2007-01-10 Better than we expected We bought this set for our 2-year-old for Christmas to go with her new Little Tykes Shopping Cart and she LOVES it! My first thought was "Great, like we need 101 pieces of ANYTHING around the house," but she really does love it, and the plastic pieces have helped her learn the names of foods she did not know before like "asparagus." I do wish the plastic food pieces were a little bigger, as they are quite small, maybe about 2-3" tall as opposed to the 4-5" tall versions we are used to seeing. My daughter has pulled most of the paper labels off of the "cans" and the cardboard boxes were pretty much history the minute they hit the door. The whole point though is to foster the imagination, which they certainly do. Date: 2007-01-09 took too long to ship the product was awesome, but, it took very long to ship for some reason. But, it got here just in time for christmas. Thanks so much. Date: 2007-01-09 Impressive selection of items I purchased this item for my granddaughters and I was delighted with the excellence of the product. I was very impressed with the variety and quality of the "food" items. I'm sure the girls will have many hours of fun playing with this veritable grocery store.
