Can't read God???
Have we stooped so low that reading out the word God is wrong?
I am not a fanatic but my 3 year old daughter pointed out to me that "the machine does not know God". Seriously are we so far???

Fun
We love Leapfrog products!! This is a must have for those kids learning letters, sound, beginning reading!! Our works fine but I've had two friend say some letters don't make the correct letter name or sound but they are gonna contact Leapfrog about it. They have great customer service!!

Was Mistakenly Mad - Now Happy
Had seen this toy on friends fridge. Thought it cleaver. Have a 5 year old and now a 1 year old - had to get rid of the old letter fridge magnets because of choking hazard. Remembered these from the friend and recalled how they are large and uniform, OK for infants to handle - and still wanted letters for my pre-k girl to practice with. Had read the reviews that these toys often break, but I wanted one anyway so took my chances. My 5 year old played with it a little every day, and enjoyed it when she did. Really encouraged her to start linking sounds with letters and to think about how they sound together. Wonderfully educational and timely for a pre-K and Kindergarten kids. But... then... after a month it shorted out, started repeating the song and wouldn't do any thing else. She and I made up our own games with the letters instead, but I was pretty annoyed that it was broken. I took the batteries out tonight in preparation to throw the darn thing away - and was suprised to see the factory batteries inside. Huh? I thought I had swaped them. Guess not. So I put in fresh batteries just to see and... Ta-Da. Boy, do I feel SHEEPISH. It works just great. It WASN'T A SHORT, the darn thing is fine! Wonder if other units have had the same problem and were not actually broken.

Learning Fun
This is a good learning tool for any child who is trying to learn to read and put letters together to form words. The appearance may seem a little babyish to some kid's (e.g. my 5 year old), but it still does the same trick. My son, who had no interest in reading, really loves to work with the Word Whammer to see what words he can make. He has been able to sound words out alot more on his own now. LeapFrog products have been a great addition to homeschooling my two children!!

Great way to learn letters
My daughter received this as a present when she was 2. She enjoyed it even though she was too young for it. She has continued to go back to play with it as she has grown.

My major complaint with it was that it scratched the front of my stainless fridge and we had to mount it on a wall.
