Need help learning letters?
This is a great product. I bought it for my 2 year old daughter hoping it would help her learn her letters. Now that she's learned her ABC's I can help her sound out the words. It's great for her, and her face lights up when she spells out a word. A great idea for your child:)

Great Puzzle
Bought for a 2yr old boy. He really loves this and has no problem doing all of the words quickly. There are words and pictures on both sides. He loves having the freedom to choose the letters that he needs. Great for the price.

good for letters
I bought this based on reviews because I thought my 4 year old would enjoy it. she does, but doesn't play the same way it was intended. She puts all the boards out and then plays "bingo" and puts the letters in wherever they fit. I have to play with her in order to get her to spell in sequence.

I really wish all these m&d sets had LIDS on the boxes.

Our set only has 8 two-sided tiles, I feel mislead to be honest. It's probably not a huge deal, but it is to me. I didn't even realize it until I noticed the card-thickness piece of foam at the bottom of the box.

Overall though, it has play value and it and the box are very durable and the pictures on the cards are vibrant and colorful.

Great for learning lowercase letters and early reading
Our 3yr son loves these puzzles and can do them fairly quickly. Though he can't spell the words yet, he is gradually learning which letters he needs to for each puzzle and I'm sure will soon learn that "cat" spells cat and so on. As others have mentioned, I do wish there was a cover for the letter storage area. We kept the plastic cover from the packaging, but it's flimsy and keeps falling off.

Excellent Toy
My grandson is just under three and he loves doing these puzzles. I placed the letters for each two sided puzzle in a small plastic bag and printed the words on the label of each bag.Enough letters come with the puzzles to do this with a few extra letters left over. In this way, it is easier for a young preschooler to be successful. I began letting him choose the puzzle and giving him the correct bag with the letters in it. He has progressed to the point that he can find the correct bag of letters himself by looking at the labels on the bags. He puts the letters back in the bag after he has done a puzzle. He seems to have no problem with the effort this organization requires and is learning quite a few sight words. Happily, he thinks this is a lot of fun and it beats having letters all over the house.
