cute pictures, paint chips
My son really likes to play with the big chunky pieces in this puzzle. However, it has already started to chip paint, exposing the unfinished wood below. I feel like it should be more durable.

The puzzle is colorful and engaging. It seems sturdy and will certainly be well used. I am very happy with this one.

These are the best puzzles ever. I got them for my nephew and grandson for Christmas and they love them.

Cute puzzle with big pieces
My 18-month-old son has several of the Melissa & Doug chunky puzzles. They are cute with big brightly colored pieces. My son is still a little young to work the puzzles by himself (they are labeled for age 2 and up) but you can still use the pieces to help him learn the names of things. My only quibble would be this is labeled an insects puzzle but spiders and centipedes are not insects (spiders have 8 legs; centipedes have 30 or more legs; insects have 6 legs). Also I'm not sure which insect the piece in the lower right corner is supposed to be. These are minor complaints--I would still recommend the puzzle for kids who like bugs.
