This toy was purchased for my granddaughter when she was 9 months old. She loves it, and it appears she will enjoy the activities for many months to come. Without the legs, she pushes the entire deck around on the floor. It is just the right height with the legs for her to stand and play. At this age she is fascinated by the sounds and lights, but the alphabet and numbers, shapes and colors information should engage her as she matures. I reviewed several of the toys of this type that were available, and I am VERY HAPPY with this choice. Date: 2008-08-22 This is the best table toy out there My son absolutely loves this toy. We got it for him when he was around 8 months and just learning to stand. He's 14 months now and still plays with it all the time. It's at Grandma's house now and the minute we come in the door he heads over there to play a few notes. His cousin, who is 15 months, was over last weekend and she couldn't get enough of it. Date: 2008-08-18 Great toy with One Major Flaw Maybe smaller children, say under the age of 15 months, will not notice this. But when your child is around 16 months and older - they will inevitably find the power switch. My son turns the toy to annoying Spanish mode and off and on. I'm glad he knows how to do this ... But still. Leap Frog should have put the on/off switch on the back of the toy like every other toy maker out there does and save us just a little bit of grief. I really hate the fact that toy makers must make toys so loud for delicate baby ears. But, they do and nobody stops them. Date: 2008-08-17 Baby loves it don't use it with the legs I got this as a gift at my baby shower we took it out at about 5 months and in the beginning we took the legs off as it was easy for my son to play with it. He loves it he would play for 20min at a time which is not usual for him he loves going from one toy to the next. We later put on the legs as he got older and we would hold him while he played as he is still too young to stand on his own. The reason why I gave it four stars was because one day I was sitting with him and the toy was close to him as well I turned my head for a second and he pulled the toy and it fell on him (thankfully it didn't hurt him because I saw it falling and was able to catch it) Anyways I still would recommend the toy but without the legs as I don't think it's sturdy enough. Date: 2008-08-15 Excellent Toy! I received this toy as a hand-me-down from my sister. Her son and daughter both played with it. I decided to show it to my 11-month old, and she loves it! We have several of the "learning" tables, but she instantly fell in love with this one because of the music and lights. Her favorite part is the book with the page that flips; she will sit there for 10-15 minutes just flipping the page back and forth. As I said, it was a hand-me-down and was originally purchased 5 years ago. It has withstood the test of time, because it still works perfectly and is in exceptional condition. This really is a great toy and I would recommend it above all other toy tables.
