I am a thirty-something adult and I have one in my room. It's great to just turn off all the lights and lie down in bed or sit in my comfy chair and listen to music by moonlight. Don't sell yourself short. Add some atmosphere to your own room. It's a great product and eerily realistic (in a good way). Date: 2007-06-12 My SUN Loves His MOONIE! My two year-old son loves his MOONIE, as he was born at night, under the energy of the FULL MOON. When he began talking about "MOONIE high up in the sky," I knew that I had to get him something that was both age appropriate AND related to the MOON. Thank God for Uncle Milton! He loves this nightlight, and demands that it is turned on every night before he falls asleep. For some reason, it brings him great comfort, which is fine with me! This is a great way to introduce your child to the idea of planets and planetary objects, and I give it my highest recommendation! Date: 2007-05-20 Milton Moon in my Room is a Winner! We bought Uncle Milton Moon in My Room for our son's room. It is a wonderful addition to his "space room" and we like that it has a timer on it, so he can have it on before he goes to sleep. Date: 2007-05-07 Son LOVES his MOOOOOOONNNN Bought this for my son's room. He really loves the moon, so I thought what the heck. Brought him in and his jaw it the floor. He has played with this constantly. He likes to use is at a night light when he goes to bed. The 30 minute shut off feature is awesome. A must for anyone that has kids that like the moon!!! Date: 2007-04-22 So cool! Unique addition to any kid's room. I have seen boys and girls ages 2 to 8 captivated by Uncle Milton's "Moon in My Room." As an adult, frankly I think it's pretty cool too! The moon model has a contured, textured surface. It is a couple of inches thick, curved, so it has real depth. The moon cycles through 12 different phases. I have not seen any evidence of the light turning on automatically after dark, as advertised, but it works fine manually or by activating the automatic 5-seconds per phase cycle. The moon is lit up from a light within and the plastic does not glow in the dark when it is turned off. The Moon in My Room is advertised as appropriate for ages 6 and up, but since it's mounted on the wall I don't see why it can't go in a toddler's room as long as the remote control is secured. I will echo a previous reviewer's comment that you need to keep track of the remote, as I don't think it would work otherwise.
