User Submitted Slide N' Splash Whale Pool Reviews (cont...)Date: 2007-09-05 Fine for a little wading pool I agree with the other reviewer who mentions the doctored photos. It's so true. The box shows multiple kids on the slide part, with others around the pool. My peanut sized 2 year old barely fits on the slide, let alone other kids. It's small. But, for a 2 year old to get her feat wet and splash around in, it works. I also agree with the reviewer who says the sprinkler doesn't work that well. It sprays upward in a spout (like a whale's spout, which is the idea) but it doesn't do a good job of keeping the slide wet. You have to readjust periodically. We leave it off. Overall, it's better than standing out in the yard sweating, but my 2 year old still has more fun running through the garden hose water... Date: 2007-07-22 Fun Little Pool w/ a few draw backs This is really a fun pool/slide for little ones - I'd say 4 (maybe 5)and younger. It isn't a big swimming pool, so don't buy it if you that's what you want. I'd say we fill it with about 6-10 inches of water, which of course is perfect for sliding into. My son and his friends(ages 2-5)have had a lot of fun on this pool. It has taken a lot of abuse and is still going strong, so I've been really happy about that. The only reason I didn't give this pool 5 stars is because the sprinkler part of the pool that is suppose to keep the slide wet and fast, does not work well. As soon as you have attached the hose and feel you have the sprinkler at the height that will be good for the kids, they start to play on it and the sprinkler water will suddenly rise and fall, rise and fall. The water is always coming out too little or too big. So, we don't use that part at all. My son just periodically tosses water down the slide to keep it wet. That works fine. I would highly recommend this product to parents with kids 4 and younger. LOTS OF FUN! Date: 2007-07-12 Great pool for kids under age 3 I completely agree with all the reviews, positive and negative, on this product. Beware that this is a kiddie pool - not a children's pool. It's not that big, and the water is meant to be shallow, like 6 inches or less. That said, it's absolutely PERFECT for about 3 to 4 toddlers under the age of 3, and a very fair price for a pool for that purpose. I have not tried out the slide yet, but there is a little cushion area you can fill with air where the child will hit the pool coming down from the slide, which I thought was a good touch. Also, there is a bigger opening for inflating and deflating the pool than just the usual small little hole, which I only discovered after my first use. It made the deflating SUPER fast though, and I believe it will make inflating even easier next time (with my electric pump). Date: 2007-07-09 total crap DO NOT BUY any Banzai probduct. the photos are totally doctored and are basically baby pools. The manufacture is no help when you call them. All of their products are so small they are for 2 year olds. Do waste you money with this brand. Date: 2007-06-12 Do not fall for this! This pool manufacturer is deliberately misrepresenting the product through the use of doctored photos. If you doubt, compare this to the photo of the giraffe spray & splash. The pools are VERY dinky and not well made or worthy of consideration for any child over 2 (even though they say no children under 3 should use it). My 7 year old and 3 year old cannot fit in one of these at the same time.
