Having been a Transformers fan from their very beginning, I was so very dissappointed to learn that Bumblebee was going to be a Camaro and not a VW Bug. After seeing the movie, I was so very pleased with the new interpretation of Bumblebee! As soon as I got home from the theatre, I ordered the toy...and I LOVE it!!! Date: 2007-07-09 Bumblebee Well I was excited about finally finding bumblebee, but foudn two. oneis to open, and one is sealed. well I opened it and wondered what exactly is automorph? all it was was the front popped down. big deal. whats so automorph about that? then I broke the arm off, and his head fell off I'm [...], so whats to expect from a [...]trying to play with it. It took a few minutes to get him actually together since the instructions only tell you how to morph him from car to "man" its now just sitting on my desk. Toys now are way too expensive for what you get. like their marvel legends and others. whatever happened to the quality of transformers. when I was 5 playing with G1 toys, I had no problem at all! Date: 2007-07-01 very disappointing I got this in the twin pack with Barricade. I remember in the old days, getting a new transformer toy was fun, but now, it took me 10 minutes to undo Bumblebee from all his wire and tape bondage just to get him out of the package. Once out, I run into a problem in the first transformation step, flipping the feet into the back of the car. The left leg just didn't want to move to the right place. Under more careful examination, I realized there must be some sort of mismatched gear preventing it from moving to the right place. Anyway, I tried continuing with the rest of the transformation, and sort of got it into car mode. Of course I ran into the problem that some people have been reporting, the stupid "Automorph" feature on the hood, it basically is spring loaded, so if you press this area on the hood, it pops down and his head pops up. Well, mine was flawed so it was VERY hard to get the thing to stay put. Anyway, after 20 minutes fighting with the thing, I got tired and gave up after having zero fun. Later on, I took a screw driver to the left leg, took out the cover hiding the gears which moves the feet and the rear roof top, and found that yes, my toy's left foot was one gear off, so after resetting that, I was able to get the left foot to transform properly. Overall, it was extremely disappointing as a toy. I had a load of frustration and zero fun. I cannot imagine any kid enjoying it, or even playing with it because it is just a hassle more than anything. Date: 2007-06-27 keeps a 4 year old busy My 4 year old son loves transforming this toy. It took him a while(with some help) to transform it, but now he does it on his own. After being transformed about 30 times the front of the car would not lock back into the up position. I see another reviewer's car developed the same problem. This toy is not as good quality as the Movie Leaders Optimus Prime and Megatron Transformers(which I would more highly recommend). The movie leaders are too complex for my 4 yr old to transform. Date: 2007-06-19 This first wave of Bumblebee is good I'e heard some people state that there was a defect in them but the one I have and the one I gave my nephew are fine, I just think there are a lot of stupid people trying to transform them and breaking them, because they're morons and can't read directions.
