Very solid wood construction of high quality, the moving parts (jail door and drawbridge) work easily. She loves the "girl" styling. The disney princess size figurines work, and she also uses it with her brother's Playmobil knights & horses, some old fisher price dollhouse furniture, etc. There are lots of different rooms and towers, and we like that it folds up. The large size makes it easy for more than one child to play with it together. Date: 2007-12-30 Excellent quality wood castle My 4 year old and 2 year old are both enjoying this castle. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with any dolls or furnishings so you have to purchase those separately. We have the Melissa & Doug castle doll playset, some Disney princess figurines, and some furniture from Playmobil. These seem to work well but I really wish they would include the dolls and furniture. The kids have played with it every day since they got it though so it's a hit! Date: 2007-12-29 pleasantly surprised by the quality! We purchased the wooden folding Princess Castle for our grandaughter who is 6 years old. Both the parents and I were pleased to see how well it is constructed. It seems far more sturdy than most doll houses. It is also colorful. This is something that should hold up for many years and should be appealing to kids of all ages. With all the junky toys out there, it's worth paying more to get something this nice. Date: 2007-12-28 My 4-year old loves this castle! My 4-year old received this castle for Christmas and she loves it! It has kept her entertained for hours! We bought some of the Disney princess figurines for her to play with in the castle--- they are a good size for it. I highly recommend this toy. Date: 2007-12-14 Princess Castle built for a Queen! 3.5 yr old daughter spends hours playing with this castle and her royal family. May not have all the 'bells & whistles' but the durability and craftsmanship blow the competition away. Sure-fire hit for your Princess!
