My daughter just turned 8, but still plays with dolls, etc. I wish that I had this for her years ago! It is so well made and durable, it far surpasses any of the plastic junk on the market. It is just the right size for many of the smaller dolls she plays with, like Polly Pocket or the Disney Princess ones that are made in that same fashion, with many different outfits. Date: 2008-01-12 Beautiful! I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. It is made very well and has beautiful details. She uses it with her smaller disney princess figures and it has been one of the best things I've given her. Its definitely something I can see lasting her for years to come as well as for her siblings. She has a plastic castle that was twice as much money and has fallen to pieces. Loved it so much I bought the boys version for my three year old and together they play for hours. Date: 2008-01-10 Well made and worth the price! I purchased this product for my daughter who is 4 1/2 years old. She plays with it every day, as does her brother who is 2 1/2. It is the perfect size for Polly Pocket dolls and has fun movable parts like the "dungeon" and drawbridge. Good quality and durable; definately a great purchase! Date: 2008-01-08 Melissa and Doug wooden castle The castle has provided hours upon hours of enjoyment. My girls are 3 and 5, and use their imagination and play Princesses all of the time (there is even a dungeon, with sliding doors, for their evil dragon). I am so impressed with the quality of this castle and all of the little rooms and alcoves - it fits the Disney Princesses (the Polly Pocket type) perfectly. I purchased some furniture by Fisher Price - "Loving Family" and it is just the right size for furnishing the rooms. I looked at so many plastic castles, but am so glad we purchased this one instead. It's so important for children to develop creativity and use their imaginations and this castle is just great for creative play, plus you can't go wrong the durability and quality that Melissa and Doug use to make toys - did I mention it is absolutely adorable! When they get to the Barbie stage I'm afraid the rooms in this castle might be too small, but I plan on keeping it for them to pass down to their children someday. This is an outstanding toy for little girls who love the little Disney Princesses, and for parents who are looking for a durable toy that fosters imaginative growth. Date: 2008-01-07 We love it! We love the Melissa and Doug toys, and this one is no exception. My five year old daughter spends hours in free imaginative play with this fairy tale castle. Much better than other plastic doll houses we have found. The only thing I would caution about is if your child has the 12 inch dolls (as does mine), this castle isn't tall enough for the 12 inch dolls. Other than that, well worth the price!
