User Submitted International Playthings Lift-Off Rocket Reviews (cont...)Date: 2008-01-14 Great Lift-off Rocket This is a FABULOUS toy!! My husband and son enjoy themselves immensely. My son is 15 months and plays with it by himself. His sisters (13,11 and 3) all like to play with it also. Our ONLY problem is that the doors come off easily. The top door came off within 30 minutes of being out of the package. It took a little longer (two weeks) for the bottom door to come off. They ARE able to be put back on. However, they do come off again...and again... This has not hampered our enjoyment of the rocket. Overall this has been a good investment and it will be a keepsake toy for our family. The package was shipped from Right Start #32. The packaging was flimsy and damaged when it arrived but the contents were all accounted for and there appeared to be no physical damage to the actual products. Date: 2008-01-14 Love it - but what about the doors? We bought this for our little ones for Christmas, and we all love it, but the doors of our rocket come off pretty easily - what's up with that? Date: 2008-01-14 Unique and Adorable I bought this toy for a 2 1/2 year old and a 13 month old for Christmas. They BOTH love it!!! It's really just unlike anything else on the toy shelves. Date: 2008-01-14 Awesome Rocket International Playthings Lift-off Rocket was a total hit with my 3-1/2 year old grandson. The rocket is very durable and the audio (which counts down to launch and has a sound level control) is very simple, clear and understandable. It is NOT a cheap plastic toy. My grandson played with it for more than an hour immediately after unwrapping it. He loves it. Well worth the price, and I'm very impressed with the quality. Date: 2008-01-12 Quality, but simplistic and too heavy for real ACTION. We bought this toy for our three year old. It is nicely made, but the pieces are kind of chunky and simplistic. (Especially for a boy who has older brothers with cool little-piece toys around.) It seems best suited for a two year old or maybe an oldest child. (Kind of on-par with Fisher Price Little People.) For a boy like mine that wants to actually pick up the ship and fly it around, I would recommend the Rescue Heroes Micro space station. That ship is much lighter and more flyable, the guy is cool and the space station itself is fun.
