The little space rover served as the link to his car world though. Great toy!! Date: 2007-11-29 Rocket Soars This is a great interactive toy. Children enjoy opening the 3 compartments and putting space men or dune buggy in. The countdown is fun and not annoying. It's very durable and I highly recommend it. Date: 2007-11-21 It's a hit! Parents, grandparents, godparents, aunts and uncles, buy this toy for your kids. It's the International Playthings Lift-Off Rocket. You can get it on Amazon. It's an awesome toy your kids will actually play with! I bought this for my three year old son for his birthday and plays with it daily. Even my six year old loves to play with it! It's well constructed, durable and comes with an off-switch. Forget those crappy licensed toys (Dora, Elmo, etc.). THIS toy is worth your money! No, I don't work for this toy company. I just love this toy that much and I'm sick of all the crappy toys you find it major retail stores these days. Date: 2007-11-04 Rocket lovers will love this toy We bought this for our two year old son on his 2nd birthday after he began to "blast off!!!" many of his other toys (like a block tower), so since he seemed interested in blasting off we thought he might like this toy. HE LOVES IT! It is *very* sturdy with little people sized space car, space dog, alien, and astronauts (2), and moon crater. My 2 yo quickly ignored the moon crater but we can fit all the other pieces into the ship. The top compartment is like a space module that fits the astronauts, the middle section is like a living section with miniature kitchen and fold down bed (most of this is molded into the rocket but there is a shape of a toaster and microwave in there. This is where we store the dog and alien but with some wiggling. The bottom door opens to hold the space car which rolls down a ramp when open. The bottom door is difficult to open (for the little kids) but if any door pulls off (which they do) it is very easily reinserted without the feeling you are wearing down those connections. Our son loved this so much he wanted to sleep with it the first day we had it. Our five year old twins play with it constantly too. I'd buy it again in a second! Date: 2007-09-14 10,9,8....Blast Off I gave my 4 year old grandson this gift for his birthday and he was wild about it. It seems very sturdy, has room for imagination and even though it needs 2 AA batteries, it needed no batteries for him to start playing with it once I got it out of the box. His 2 1/2 year old brother was happy to play with some of the characters as well and they immediately started off with their rocket adventure. The small pieces were not so small as to worry me with the younger child and they were sturdy enough to withstand a momentary bout with the year old retriever who wanted to get in on the play. Once we dipped it in hot soapy water to clean it off, it was as good as new and ready for play. I'm very glad I purchased this item for my grandson.
