A working megaphone allows the toddler to call out to victims and the little hero can then put out the blaze with the 1-liter capacity super-spray hose. Fire truck gauges, sturdy grab bars, and pre-applied graphics add to the fun. The truck also has ignition, acceleration, horn, and siren sounds (from controls built into the steering wheel) to create a realistic experience for your little firefighter. Not only is this fire engine loads of fun, it is safe and built to last. It features a long-lasting, 12-volt battery (which provides up to 10 hours of battery life between charges), twin rear-wheel drive motors, and durable wheels with a built-in traction strip to prevent slippage. Parents love that this electric ride-on is quick and easy to assemble. And two children may ride at one time, so long as their combined weight does not exceed 130 pounds. This ride-on comes with a one-year limited warranty and a six-month battery warranty.
What's in the Box? User Submitted Kid Trax Red Fire Engine Electric Ride-On ReviewsDate: 2008-10-26 Batteries Don't Last & EXPENSIVE We purchased the Kid Trax Fire Engine for Christmas last year. It works great and we have lots of fun until we needed to replace the battery. Try to find replacement batteries and that's when the fun stops. No store carries them (Not found in Toys R Us, Radio Shack, Walmart, Target). We spent $350.00 last year (with a coupon) and I just spent $82.00 for a new battery ($69.00 plus $13.00 shipping). Most replacement batteries for other vehicles cost around $30.00. Think about that before purchasing. Date: 2008-10-16 Too many problems for my child to enjoy! My mother in law bought this fire truck for my son and he loves it. It is a shame that before a year I had to replace the battery causting me $80.00. Than the gear on the back driver side stripped. The only place to get parts is from hong kong and that took 3 months costing $50.00. Less than a month after repairing the gear they are making a horrible noise and are stripping again. I give up! It is a shame my son loves it but I would not recommend this tide on toy to anyone. We have had a 4 wheeler and a barbie jeep for years with no trouble at all. Think before wasting your money, it isn't worth the aggrevation. Date: 2008-09-02 Fabulous!! My son just turned 4 and received this from his grandparents. He loves to play pretend (fireman, policeman, pirate, etc.) and this firetruck has become in 1 week his most favorite activity - KidTrax seems to really have improved on the concerns raised by prior consumers from the original model - everything is working well, simple to put together, has 2 speeds, handles easily, etc., etc. A FABULOUS choice!! Date: 2008-08-04 be prepared I bought my son this fire truck when he was 3 years old. He is now 5 and he loves to ride on it.. That's not very often since it's always broken. Last summer I purchased a replacement battery and they were supposed to send a connector with it, I never received it. The connection is the worst part of this toy that I have found. The plastic body is very durable. Also there's a problem with the shifter. It's a great toy if you can afford the truck in the first place, but then get your wallets out for all the replacement parts. Date: 2008-07-28 kid trax fire engine My son went nuts over this toy. He loved it. Real fire hose. Excellent traction and long battery life.
