Lots of fun, overpriced on Amazon
My son (2.5yrs)loves it and we recently added the GeoAir tracks. The set can be found for half the price (~$50) at Target or ToysRUs.

Not sure why but Amazon has jacked up some of their toy prices since the holidays. Very disappointing.

Triplets love it!
My trio got this for Christmas in '07 and have loved it. You can set up the track different ways and buy accessories, though we haven't as of yet. Great fun!

Awesome
All 4 of my children love Geo Trax. They spend hours upon hours playing with the trains and now the planes. It is awesome to watch all four of them on the floor playing together using their imaginations. As a mom I would recommend all the Geo Trax. The kids enjoy playing with the excessories as much everything else. Even my husbad enjoys getting down on the floor with them and spending time with them. The Grand Central Station is one of the bigger sets. It gives you more tracks to make a bigger railroad system when combined with other sets. I recommend this idea. The kids enjoy making a huge track area. When it is train time, we move coffee table, furniture, and other things to make as big a floor space available as possible. It is truly great.

Slow...But lots of fun
Putting together seemed daunting at first, with the amount of pieces and the lack of ease fitting them together. After snapping together several times, it gets easier. Eric and Aero are no speed racers though. With brand new Energizer batteries, it takes about 15-20 seconds for him to complete the track. It is still a little hard for my daughter (3yo) to get the train straight on the track.

Kids can work it all by themselves!
Santa Claus gave this train to my almost five year old. He absolutely loves it! He has been playing with it non-stop for days! The best thing about it is that it was easy to assemble and my son can work all the parts by himself. So many toys now-a-days have the child calling the parent over every two seconds to help fix something. This toy is one that the child can use all by himself with no help and it keeps them entertained for hours.
